How to Request a Video
If this is your first time requesting a video, our Requesting Your First Video guide walks through the basics. This article serves as the complete reference for the request process.
Before You Request
A video request requires two things: a client and at least one product under that client. If you have not set those up yet, start with Creating Your First Client and Adding Your First Product.
The quality of your video output depends directly on the quality of your product information. Before submitting a request, review your product details and make sure each field is complete:
- Product description should clearly explain what the product is, who it is for, and what makes it valuable. See Writing Effective Product Descriptions for Better Results for guidance.
- Key advantages should list specific, concrete benefits rather than generic claims.
- Actor direction should describe the type of presenter and delivery style you want. See How Actor Direction Works for detailed examples.
- Product image and product link give the creative team visual and contextual reference. See Uploading Product Images and Links for best practices.
Investing a few minutes in your product details pays off in every video you request for that product.
Submitting a Request
Navigate to the product you want a video for. You can find it through Clients by selecting the client and then the product, or browse all products from the Products section in the sidebar.
On the product detail page, click Request Video.
Select the number of variations you want. Each variation produces a unique video with different talent, delivery style, and creative approach, all based on the same product information and actor direction.
Review the total credit cost displayed on the request form. The cost updates automatically as you adjust the number of variations.
Click Submit Request to finalize.
A confirmation screen appears with your request details and a reference number. You can use this reference number to track the request from your dashboard or the Video Requests section.
Choosing the Right Number of Variations
Each variation is a distinct creative take on the same product. Different talent, different energy, different pacing. The product message stays the same, but the presentation changes.
Multiple variations are one of the most effective strategies for video advertising. Running two or more versions lets you A/B test across audiences, platforms, and placements to find what performs best before scaling your spend.
Starting out: Two to three variations per request gives you enough creative diversity to compare results without overcommitting credits.
Scaling up: As you learn what resonates with your audience, increase the count. Many experienced users request four or more variations per product, especially when launching on new platforms or targeting new segments.
There is no maximum number of variations per request. Each variation consumes credits from your balance, so factor your monthly allocation into the decision.
What Happens Next
After you submit, your request enters the production queue. Our team reviews your product information, selects talent based on your actor direction, and produces each variation individually. The entire process runs on a 24 hour turnaround.
You do not need to take any action while your request is being processed. Track the status from the Video Requests section in the sidebar or from your dashboard activity feed. You will receive an email notification when your videos are ready for review.
