Creating Your First Client
What Is a Client?
A client in RealityMold represents a brand, company, or business that you are creating video content for. Clients serve as the top level of organization on the platform. Every product you add and every video you request is associated with a specific client.
If you are a brand owner creating content for your own company, you will typically have one client. If you are an agency or marketing team managing content for multiple brands, you can create a separate client for each one. This keeps products, video requests, and messaging organized by brand.
Think of clients as folders that group everything related to a single brand together in one place.
Creating a Client
Follow these steps to create your first client:
From your dashboard, click the Create a Client quick action button. Alternatively, navigate to the Clients section in the sidebar and click New Client.
Enter the client name. This should be the brand name or company name. Use the official name that you want associated with all content produced for this brand.
Add a description of the client. Include a brief overview of what the brand does, who their target audience is, and what types of products or services they offer. This context helps our team understand the brand when producing video content.
Upload a client logo. This is optional but recommended. The logo appears on the client card in your dashboard, making it easier to identify clients at a glance. Supported formats include PNG, JPG, and SVG. For best results, use a square image with a minimum resolution of 200x200 pixels.
Click Create Client to save. Your new client will appear in the Clients section, and you can immediately begin adding products to it.
Client Fields Explained
Client Name is the primary identifier for the brand. It appears throughout the platform wherever the client is referenced, including on video request forms and in your activity feed. Choose a clear, recognizable name.
Description provides background information about the brand. While optional, a well written description improves the quality of the video content produced for this client. Our team references this information when crafting scripts and selecting creative approaches.
Logo is a visual identifier displayed on client cards and detail pages. It is not used in video content itself. The logo simply helps you and your team quickly identify clients in the platform interface.
Managing Multiple Clients
If you manage content for more than one brand, create a separate client for each. There is no limit to the number of clients you can add to your account.
Your Clients page displays all clients in a grid layout. Each client card shows the brand name, logo, and a count of products and video requests associated with that client.
Click on any client card to view its detail page. From there, you can see all products under that client, view related video requests, and edit client information.
To switch context between clients, simply navigate to the Clients section and select the one you want to work with. Products and video requests are always scoped to a specific client, so you will never accidentally mix content between brands.
For agencies with large portfolios, consider using consistent naming conventions for your clients. This makes searching and filtering more efficient as your account grows.
