Creating Your First Campaign

Getting Started4 min read

The Hierarchy

RealityMold organizes work as Client → Campaign → Creative.

  • A client is a workspace for a brand. Each client has its own plan and credit balance.
  • A campaign lives inside a client. It captures the product you are advertising and the context our team and AI use to produce videos.
  • A creative lives inside a campaign. It is one video output, with its own persona, dialogue, and product step.

This article covers the campaign layer.

Where to Find the Create Campaign Button

  1. Open the client you want to create a campaign for. You can do this from the dashboard (click a recent client card) or from the Clients page (click the client name in the list).
  2. You land on the client's campaigns page. From there, click New Campaign at the top of the page.

Campaigns cannot be moved between clients once they are created. Decide which client this campaign belongs to before you click in.

The Campaign Form

The campaign form has three sections.

Campaign Details

Campaign Name (required). A short, internal label. We suggest something like "Acme Spring Launch" or "Glow Serum Hook Test 1". This is for your own organization and shows up in titles and email subjects.

Product Name (required). The product you are advertising. Use the actual product name your customers see, not a code name. For example, "Hydrating Face Serum" rather than "Product A".

Research URLs

Up to five URLs. These are pages our research step reads to understand your product. Useful inputs include:

  • Your product page on your own site.
  • A landing page or sales page for the product.
  • A competitor product page if you want our research to know what to position against.

All of the URLs are optional. If you skip them, our team works from the product name and your edits during the creative step. Adding even one strong URL improves the quality of the AI generated research.

Notification Emails

The people on this list get email updates when work moves along: when research is complete, when creatives are submitted, when videos are delivered. Your own email is always included by default. Add your account manager, your creative director, your client (if you are an agency), or anyone else who should follow the campaign.

You can type an email and press Enter, or click Add to add it to the list. Remove an email by clicking the small X next to it.

Submit

Click Create Campaign at the bottom of the form. The button is disabled until the required fields (Campaign Name and Product Name) are filled in.

Once you submit, the campaign is created and you are taken into the campaign workspace. From there you can start creating your first creative.

What Happens Inside a Campaign

A campaign starts with a research step that gathers information about your product. This step reads the URLs you provided, pulls structured facts, and prepares the canvas you and the team work from when creating individual creatives.

Inside the campaign you will see a list of creatives. Each creative is a single video output, with its own:

  • Product showcase brief (the on screen story).
  • Persona (the actor direction, look, voice, vibe).
  • Dialogue and hook variations.
  • Reference images for the product itself and for the actor.

You can have many creatives in one campaign. They all share the same product context but each one can take a different angle.

Tips for a Strong Campaign Setup

Use a product name your customer recognizes. This is the name that gets spoken on camera and shown in text overlays. Generic placeholders like "the supplement" produce generic videos.

Add at least one research URL. Even one well chosen URL gives our AI research step concrete inputs to work from. A live product page is usually the best one.

Add the right people to notifications. Notifications drive the review and approval rhythm. If your client (or your boss) is going to want to see every video before it goes live, add them now. You can always remove or add people later.

For deeper guides on each part of the creative process, see How Persona and Actor Direction Work, Writing Effective Product Descriptions, and Uploading Product Images and Research URLs. Once your campaign is in place, the next step is Requesting Your First Video.
