Annual vs. Monthly Billing
Billing Cadence Is Per Client
Every client on your account has its own subscription. That means each client also has its own billing cadence. You can run one client on monthly and another on annual at the same time, and the toggle for each lives inside that client's settings.
The Annual Discount
Annual billing is roughly 10 percent cheaper than monthly billing across every standard plan. The discounted prices are:
- Starter: $135 per month equivalent ($1,620 billed once per year), versus $150 per month on monthly. Save $180 per year per client.
- Growth: $269 per month equivalent ($3,228 billed once per year), versus $299 per month on monthly. Save $360 per year per client.
- Scale: $449 per month equivalent ($5,388 billed once per year), versus $499 per month on monthly. Save $600 per year per client.
Your credit allocation does not change when you switch cadence. Starter is 150 credits per cycle, Growth is 325, Scale is 575, regardless of whether you pay monthly or annual.
Enterprise plans have custom pricing. If you are on Enterprise, talk to your account manager about billing options.
How to Switch on a Specific Client
- From the dashboard or the Clients page, open the client you want to change.
- Open the client's settings page.
- In the plan management section you will see a current plan summary and a Monthly / Annual toggle next to a "Change plan" header.
- Toggle to the cadence you want. The plan cards refresh to show that cadence's prices.
- Click the Switch to Annual (or Switch to Monthly) button on your current plan card.
- Confirm. The change goes through Stripe using your existing payment method.
The toggle defaults to Annual on first open so the better deal is the one you see first. Click Monthly if you want to compare both before committing.
When the Change Takes Effect
Monthly to Annual. The annual rate applies immediately. Stripe prorates the remainder of your current monthly cycle against the new annual cost and bills the difference. From that point forward, the subscription renews once per year.
Annual to Monthly. The change applies at the end of your current annual term. You are not charged the monthly rate until the annual period expires. There is no early termination fee.
Your credit allocation is reset to the new plan's number at the start of the next cycle. Switching cadence does not generate an extra credit batch or take credits away. The current cycle's credits remain in place for the rest of the cycle.
Renewal Behaviour
- Monthly subs renew on the same day each month, based on the day the client was first subscribed.
- Annual subs renew on the same date each year.
Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits from the previous cycle do not roll over.
Should You Switch?
If you plan to keep a client active for at least a year, annual is the cleaner economic call. The 10 percent saving is real and recurring, and the cycle is longer so you spend less time thinking about renewals.
If you are still proving out a brand or running a one off campaign, monthly keeps your downside small. You can always switch to annual after you have validated the spend, and the switch is one toggle plus one button click.
For an aggregate view across every client you own (with an explicit "annual savings still on the table" callout), check the agency Billing page (visible when you have two or more clients).
