Where to Find Messages
The Messages Page Is the Main Inbox
The sidebar has a Messages item with an unread badge. Click it to open the inbox at /dashboard/messages. The page is a two pane layout:
- Left pane. The thread list. Sorted by most recent activity. Each row shows the scope (general, client name, campaign name, or creative name), a preview of the most recent message, the timestamp, and an unread badge when relevant.
- Right pane. The open thread, with full message history and the composer at the bottom.
On mobile, the two panes stack. Picking a thread on the list view opens the thread; a Back button returns you to the list.
The list refreshes on its own, so a new reply from your account manager surfaces without you needing to refresh the page manually.
The Three Ways to Open a Thread
You can land in a specific thread three ways:
From the Messages page. Click a row in the list. The thread opens on the right (or full screen on mobile).
From a creative's review page. The Message us about this variation button on the delivery review page opens (or creates) a thread scoped to that creative. Use this when your question is about a specific delivered video.
From a campaign workspace. The Message about this campaign button inside the campaign opens (or creates) a thread scoped to that campaign. Use this for questions that span multiple creatives in the same campaign.
These buttons are idempotent. Clicking from the same scope twice just returns you to the same thread. You never end up with two parallel threads for the same scope.
Thread Scope Quick Reference
Every thread has one of four scopes. Picking the right scope helps the team pull the right context fast:
- General. Account level questions. "What plan should I switch to" or "Can we set up an onboarding call".
- Client. Brand level questions. "Here's a new brand description for this client" or "We're moving budget to a different brand".
- Campaign. Campaign level strategy. "Should we run another five creatives in this campaign before pausing".
- Creative. A single video. "The Hook on this creative needs a softer opening".
You set the scope when you start the thread. The scope is fixed for the life of the thread.
Sidebar Unread Indicator
The Messages item in the sidebar carries a small numeric badge with the count of unread messages across every thread (capped at 99+). The badge refreshes on its own.
If the badge says zero but you know a thread should be unread, refresh the page. The badge syncs faster after a refresh.
Email Backstops
Every reply from your account manager also fires an email to you. The email includes a preview of the message and a link directly to the thread. So you do not need to keep RealityMold open in a tab; the email tells you when there is something new.
