Providing Your Guidelines
What This Screen Is For
After you create the Auto Campaign you land on Your campaign guidelines. This is where you tell us how you speak and what you sell. The heading explains it: "Share your guidelines and we draft your concepts for you to approve and refine. Upload your brand docs, fill in the fields below, or do both. Every field is optional, so give us what you have and we take it from there."
You have two ways to fill this in. You can use one or both.
Option 1: Upload Brand Docs
Under Upload brand docs, add files that describe your brand: brand guides, product one pagers, past briefs, anything that tells us how you sound and what you sell.
- Click Add brand docs to pick files. Once you have staged one, the button becomes Add another doc.
- Accepted formats: PDF, DOCX, Markdown, or text. You can add up to 8 files, each up to 20MB.
- Click Process when you are ready. We read the files together and fill the fields below from them.
While we read your docs you will see progress, ending with a line like "Filled 6 of 9 sections." That counter shows how many of the nine guideline fields we were able to fill from your documents. Large documents can take up to a minute.
When it finishes you will see Brand docs processed and a note that your guidelines are filled below. Edit any of them before you continue. If you want to start over, use Upload different docs.
If a file cannot be read, we tell you and you can try another file or simply write the fields in yourself.
Option 2: Write the Fields Yourself
The nine fields start locked, filled in from your docs. If you do not have docs, click I'll write them myself to unlock them and type your own. Every field is optional. Fill in what you have.
The fields are grouped into three sections.
Audience and offer
- Target audience: who you are speaking to, their age, life stage, and what they care about.
- Customer pain points: the problems and frustrations your product solves.
- Top benefits: the strongest reasons someone should choose you.
- Key claims and offers: proof points, promotions, and offers you want featured.
Positioning and voice
- Positioning and messaging: how you want to be seen, and the message you lead with.
- Voice and visual direction: tone of voice, look and feel, colors, and references you like.
- Hooks, headlines and CTAs: opening lines, headlines, and calls to action that have worked.
Guardrails and goals
- Do's, don'ts, trust and concepts: what to always do, what to avoid, trust signals, and concept ideas.
- Goals: what a win looks like for this campaign.
The more you give us, the closer the first draft lands. A blank run still works, but it has less to steer from.
Choosing How Many Concepts
Under How many concepts? set the size of the batch. The default is 10. You can enter anything from 1 to 25. We draft that many distinct concepts for you to review. You can always raise the target later to generate more.
The cost sits right under the count. On a paid plan it shows the token cost, "About 200 tokens (20 per concept)", alongside your current balance. On the scale and enterprise plans it reads "Included on your plan. No token charge." If the count costs more than your balance, we tell you to add tokens or lower the count first. Picking more than 15 adds a note that the wait will be longer.
Generating
Two buttons sit at the bottom.
- Save guidelines saves your work without drafting anything. Use it if you want to step away and come back.
- Generate my campaign starts the draft. It stays disabled until at least one guideline has content. If everything is empty, you will see a prompt to add at least one guideline or upload a doc first.
Once you click Generate my campaign, we draft your concepts. You will see progress while it runs. When it finishes, you land on the review screen.
