How Product Details Work on a Creative
The Hierarchy
RealityMold organizes work as Client → Campaign → Creative. Product context is split between the campaign and the creative:
On the campaign:
- Product Name. Captured when you create the campaign. Carries forward to every creative inside it.
- Research URLs. Up to five. The AI research step reads these once at the start of the campaign and produces a structured brief that every creative draws from.
On each creative (the Product step):
- Main picture. The single hero image of the product, used as the visual anchor.
- Extra pictures. Optional reference images for palette, styling, or alternate angles.
- Product Showcase mode. A toggle that turns on the showcase clips for this creative, plus per clip configuration (duration, scene direction, voice settings).
On each creative (the Copy step):
- The dialogue, hook, and any scene direction you want to override.
Each creative carries its own product step settings. If you have ten creatives for the same product, each one has its own configuration. You can test angles, swap reference images, or refine the showcase per creative without dragging changes across the campaign.
Editing a Creative's Product Step
To open the Product step:
- From the dashboard or the Clients page, open the client, then the campaign, then the creative you want to edit.
- Click into the Product step.
- Update the main picture, add or remove extras, or toggle Product Showcase. Per clip showcase settings (duration, scene script, voice) live in the same step.
- Changes save as you make them. There is no separate Save button on this step.
Edits apply only to that creative. Once the creative is submitted, the product step locks. To run a new angle with different settings, create a new creative in the same campaign.
When to Make Edits
Common reasons to revisit a creative's product step before submitting:
- Swap the main picture when better product photography becomes available.
- Add extra reference images so the AI sees palette and styling cues you care about.
- Adjust per clip showcase duration when you want a tighter or longer hero shot.
- Toggle Product Showcase off if you only want a single talking head clip for this creative.
After submission, those settings are baked into the delivered video. To try a different combination, spin up a new creative in the same campaign. The campaign's product name and research carry forward, so the new creative starts with the same context.
Tips
Strong main picture matters most. The hero image is what the AI uses to anchor product appearance. A clear, well lit photo on a clean background works best. Lifestyle shots are acceptable but plain references reduce surprises.
Use extras for nuance. If the main picture is a packaging shot and you also want the product to look a certain way in use, drop a lifestyle photo into extras. Keep extras count low (three or four), high signal images.
Keep showcase clip durations honest. The showcase deposit is charged at submit time by the second. Each clip costs one token per second of clip duration, clamped between 4 and 12 seconds. Reconciliation refunds any unused seconds after delivery.
