Our Talent Pool of Real Actor Sources

About RealityMold4 min read

Real People, Real Sources

Every creative on RealityMold uses an actor source built from a real human being filmed on camera. There is no stock footage spliced together and no generic AI face composited into a scene. When you watch a delivered creative, you are watching a digital twin grounded in a real person.

Viewers can tell the difference. Even as synthetic video improves, audiences remain sharp at sensing when something is off. Authentic human expressions, natural vocal cadence, and genuine physical presence build trust that fully generated content does not match. That trust shows up in watch time, engagement, and purchase intent.

Range Across Every Demographic

The actor source pool is deep and varied by design. The pool covers:

  • Age ranges from late teens (18 to 24) through 65 and over. The persona drawer surfaces these as five buckets: 18 to 24, 25 to 35, 35 to 50, 50 to 65, and 65 and over.
  • Gender options including Woman, Man, Non binary, and Person. Pick the one that fits the brand and the audience.
  • Ethnicities, body types, and personal styles across casual, professional, athletic, luxury, and everyday categories.

This range exists for a practical reason: the right presenter is audience specific. A serious athlete recommending a fitness supplement reads differently than a busy parent recommending a meal kit. A confident expert and a relaxed older sibling are both valid energy choices, but they fit different brands.

Why Authentic Talent Wins for Brands

Polished brand commercials still have their place, but inside social media feeds on TikTok, Instagram Reels, Meta Ads, and YouTube Shorts, UGC style content featuring real people consistently outperforms studio era brand ads for ecommerce products.

The mechanism is straightforward. UGC mirrors the way humans already share recommendations with each other. A real person holding a product and speaking directly to camera reads like a recommendation from someone you know, not a commercial interrupting your scroll. That perception lifts engagement, hold rates, and purchase intent.

There is a brand safety dimension too. Real human sources avoid the uncanny valley. There is no risk of a generated face accidentally resembling a public figure, no ethical question about an avatar's identity, and none of the visual artifacts that pure synthesis still occasionally produces. The output is clean, defensible, and ready to publish.

How Casting Happens Today

You do not browse the talent pool and pick a specific actor. The persona drawer on each creative is your control surface. The persona inputs you set (gender, age range, personality, additional notes, style) are matched against the source pool when the creative renders.

Your inputs in the persona drawer:

  • Gender. Woman, Man, Non binary, or Person.
  • Age range. One of the five buckets.
  • Personality. Short text describing the energy and delivery you want.
  • Additional notes. Free text for clothing, vibe, setting, and any other direction.
  • Style chips plus a custom style field for the visual look (Pixar 3D, watercolor, photorealistic 35mm film, etc.).

A persona reference image is generated from these inputs and becomes the visual anchor the AI uses for the on screen presenter. Every persona image you generate or upload for a client appears in that client's persona library, ready to pick again on a future creative.

For deeper guidance on shaping the persona, see How Persona and Actor Direction Work.

What You Cannot Do

A few hard constraints:

  • No specific real people by name. You cannot ask for a particular celebrity, public figure, or licensed character.
  • No copyrighted character portrayals. Original looks only.
  • Very narrow casting (a specific ethnicity combined with a specific age, body type, wardrobe, and location) can over constrain the result. If outputs miss, loosen one dimension and rerun.

Why It Reads Different Than Most "AI Video" Products

Most fully synthetic video tools start from a generic avatar pool and try to make it feel human. RealityMold starts from real human actor sources and uses AI to scale the production. The starting point matters. Authenticity is built in, not reverse engineered.
